The last seven days have been hectic. Parent-Teacher meetings, trips to the doctor, trips to the ER, job interviews and trying to set aside family time. Still, I managed to do a little drawing. Last week we went to a book fair where my daughter got a ‘How To Draw Pokémon’ book. She insisted I draw some with her, you can see the end result above. In my defence, in my forty one years on this planet, I have never once tried to draw a Pokémon, but I can see the appeal; they are quite fun to draw.
The other day I started preparing for a 30 Day Drawing Challenge. I had a stack of papers I really didn’t want, it was the wrong size for what I do, so I’m using this as a chance to get rid of it. I lined and inked 30 panels and let them dry for a couple days. Then today I started with Day 1 - An Animal: specifically a beaver. 🦫
Tomorrow I get to draw a flower. 🥀
I was starting to edit a video of me drawing this, but a family emergency necessitated a trip to the hospital, where I am currently writing this post. So far it’s just been a lot of waiting. I really wish I brought my iPad like I did last time. As you can see in the photo, I am an essential care partner. Hopefully we can get out of here soon and I can get back to looking after my family. If I have time I’ll edit the video, but I’ll put that part off until next week if needed.
That’s all for now. Stay safe (and out of the hospital if you can.)
